Skilled Futures for Women – Interview Series

Skilled Futures for Women launches our new one-on-one interview series.

For many years skilled trade careers have been seen as work that could only be done by men. Now with women making up one-half of the overall workforce, the number of women working in skilled trades is still staggering low. At Skills Canada – Nova Scotia we believe those numbers can change for the better. Through our new interview series, we’ll share the stories of successful women working in a variety of skilled trades industries. Our hope is that these stories will help inspire the next generation of young women who are thinking of their own future careers in skilled trades and technologies.

Chyenne MacPherson – Millwright Apprentice

Nicole Hamilton – Red Seal Automotive Repair Body & Paint

Cassandra Cameron – Red Seal Carpenter
